About the author
I’m Sam and I’ve been interested in animals since I can remember. My insatiable curiosity led to an avid following of all things David Attenborough, and eventually a BSc (Hons) in Biology in the UK, followed by an MSc in African Mammal Zoology and Conservation in South Africa where I thoroughly fell in love with Africa and its wildlife.
All animals and their life strategies and behaviours grab my interest but I love mammals – and the carnivores (predators) – in particular. I decided to combine my zoology knowledge with my love of writing and provide a hub of animal information that brings the enormous diversity of the animal kingdom’s attractions, and some of the latest research, to the non-scientist internet community’s attention – so I hope you find my website both interesting and useful!
Please ask me before using text or photos from this website – I’ll more than likely say yes to requests, but it’s interesting to me to know who wants to use them – and it’s polite to ask! Get in contact with me at theanimalexplorer@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks for reading,
Sam
